703 <br />REGUTA R MEETING MARCH 12TH, 1951 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3803 <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2336 OF THE <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />AND PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE OF NAME OF A PART OF <br />24TH STREET IN SAID CITY. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Kemper made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - <br />0 nays - 1 absent (Glass). <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays - 1 absent (Glass). <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3804 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT MADE AND ENTERED <br />INTO ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />BY AND THROUGH THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, <br />AND THE.ENGLEWOOD ELECTRICAL SUPPLY COMPANY, INC., <br />$7,331.28. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Korpal made a motion <br />for suspension of rules. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of <br />7 ayes - 0 nays - 1 absent (Glass). <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays - 1 absent (Glass). <br />OPINION OF CITY ATTORNEY RELATIVE TO PROPOSED SALARY CHANGES OF PARK DEPARTMENT <br />Mr. Frederick K. Baer; City Attorney, advised the Council that increase in salary to employees of the Park <br />Department cannot be made after the budget is approved. <br />Councilman Erler made a motion that the attorney's opinion be accepted and a notation be placed in the minutes. <br />Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Councilman Tellson made a motion that the Board of Works notify the Northern Indiana Transit, Incorporated, to <br />place signs on the front and side of the Corby Street bus. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />There being no further business, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to adjourn, which motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Erler.
