364 <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES FOR THE VARIOUS OFFICIALS OF THE CIVIL <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE PERIOD 0010.4ENCING JANUARY 1, 194519 <br />AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 19450 BOTH INCLUSIVE. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion that the ordinance be set for <br />public hearing on August 28th. Councilman McCarthy seconded the motion. Motion married. <br />ORDI NAPTCE <br />AN ORDINTANCE FIXING THE SALARIES AND PROVIDING FOR PAID VACATIONS OF CERTAIN <br />CITY OFFICIALS AND 3APLOYEES OF THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THERENTITH. <br />The ordinance was piven first and second reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion to set the ordinance for public <br />hearing on August 28. Councilman McCarthy seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORLINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES <br />OF THE FIR- 9.1ENIS PENSION FUND OF THE CITY GOVERNPAENT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1945, AND ENDING <br />DECEMBER 31, 1945, INCLUDING ALL OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIGATIONS, AND <br />FIXING A TIME IATHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Mirocha made a motion to set the ordinance for public <br />hearing on August 28. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Councilman Richardson made a motion to set the ordinance f or public <br />hearing On August 28. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE. FIXING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE YEAR 1945. FOR THE MUNICIPAL CIVIL CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman McCarthy made a motion to set the ordinance for public <br />hearing on August 28-_' :Councilman Heideman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Richardson made a motion that the budget be set for public,hearing on August 28th and be so advertised. <br />Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Richardson made.a motion that the City Court be advised that they are privileged to use the Council <br />Chambers but said Chambers must be kept in good condition. Councilman Mirocha seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />4 <br />Councilman McCarthy made a motion that the City Attorney be instructed.t o investigate the various laws governing <br />circuses and like entertainment arid that the City Controller have on file a simplified list of rules and regulations <br />for distribution to persons responsible for such shows and that the Board of Safety shall be responsible for the en- <br />forcement of these rules and regulations.
