REGULAR MEETING MARCH 14, 1966 <br />ORDINANCES, THIRD READING <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, ADOPTED <br />BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />COMMONLY KNOWN THE ZONING ORDINANCE (Location: <br />Southeast Corner of McKinley Ave. and Eddy St.) <br />321 <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and defeated by.a roll call vote of 8 nays, 0 ayes, 1 absent (Councilman <br />Palmer) <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4836 -66 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3702 (Location: 3617 McKinley Ave.) <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent (Councilman <br />Palmer) <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4837 -66 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, 1962, AS AMENDED, <br />ALSO KNOWN AS ORDINANCE NO. 4563, THE SUBDIVISION <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent (Councilman <br />Palmer). <br />ORDINANCES, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING, RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING <br />A COMMUNITY ANTENNA TELEVISION FRANCHISE AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND VALLEY CABLEVISION <br />CORPORATION. <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Smith made a <br />motion that the Ordinance be set for public hearing on April 11, 1966. Councilman Wise seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCES, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SUB - SECTION (b) OF SECTION <br />ONE (1) OF ORDINANCE NO. 3964BEING AN ORDINANCE <br />FIXING THE SCHEDULE OR RATES AND CHARGES TO BE <br />COLLECTED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND FROM THE <br />OWNERS OF PROPERTY SERVED BY THE SEWAGE DISPOSAL <br />WORKS OF SAID CITY AND OTHER MATTERS CONNECTED <br />THEREWITH; AND SUBSTITUTING A NEW SUB - PARAGRAPH <br />(b) IN SAID SECTION ONE (1) IN LIEU THEREOF. <br />The.Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Szymkowiak made <br />a motion that the Ordinance be set for public hearing on April 11, 1966. Councilman Geib seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Allen expressed thanks to the Area Plan Commission, and to Mr. Ernest Rosa,, for their <br />cooperation and help in installing a new directory in the lobby of City Hall; and requested that <br />the Clerk send a letter to the Area Plan Commission expressing the thanks of the entire Council. <br />Councilman Szymkowiak inquired if a rostrum could be placed in the Council Chambers for use of speakers <br />during meetings. President Hunter directed the Clerk to communicate with the Board of Public Works and <br />Safety regarding the matter. <br />President Hunter advised the Clerk to include an ordinance regarding taxicabs, which is now in the <br />Ordinance Committee, on the agenda for third reading for the next meeting. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the meeting <br />be adjourned.
