REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 14 1964 <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />December 14, 1964 <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF RATES AND CHARGES FOR <br />SERVICES RENDERED BY THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO AREAS OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS AND <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 4651, PASSED MAY 11, 1964 AND ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF RATES <br />AND CHARGES FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO ARMS OUTSIDE THE SOUTH <br />BEND CITY LIMITS ". <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the Counci <br />as favorable <br />/s/ Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Palmer seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: December 14, 1964 <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ONE - THOUSAND TWO - .HUNDRED DOLLARS <br />($1,200.00) TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF RADAR EQUIPMENT TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT Pll INTO <br />ACCOUNT P726, ALL BEING IN THE GENERAL FUND ". <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the <br />Council as favorable. <br />/s/ Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman <br />Councilman Allen made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />December 14, 1964 <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS'($10,000.00) <br />TO THE`"STREET DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF STREET AND ALLEY MATERIALS; SAID TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000.00) <br />TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT S12 INTO ACCOUNT S421, ALL BEING IN THE STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND ". <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the Council <br />as favorable. <br />/s/ Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Motion carried.- <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />December 8, 1964 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to rezone from "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area <br />District to "A -1" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District the property generally described as being <br />bounded on the East by Leer Street, on the West by the first north -south alley East of Miami Street, on the <br />North by the first east -west alley South of Bowman Street and the rear lot line of lots on the north side of <br />Bowman Street, and on the South by Ewing Avenue was legally advertised under date of November 23, 1964 and <br />given public hearing on December 3, 1964. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that the proposed <br />zone change would be in the best interest of the subject area. <br />It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried <br />that the petition be recommended favorably to the Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Robert L.
