REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 14 1964 REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: December 14, 1964 Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF RATES AND CHARGES FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO AREAS OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 4651, PASSED MAY 11, 1964 AND ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF RATES AND CHARGES FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO ARMS OUTSIDE THE SOUTH BEND CITY LIMITS ". Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the Counci as favorable /s/ Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman Councilman Glass made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: December 14, 1964 Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ONE - THOUSAND TWO - .HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,200.00) TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF RADAR EQUIPMENT TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT Pll INTO ACCOUNT P726, ALL BEING IN THE GENERAL FUND ". Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the Council as favorable. /s/ Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman Councilman Allen made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: December 14, 1964 Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS'($10,000.00) TO THE`"STREET DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF STREET AND ALLEY MATERIALS; SAID TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000.00) TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT S12 INTO ACCOUNT S421, ALL BEING IN THE STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND ". Motion carried.- REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION December 8, 1964 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to rezone from "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District to "A -1" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District the property generally described as being bounded on the East by Leer Street, on the West by the first north -south alley East of Miami Street, on the North by the first east -west alley South of Bowman Street and the rear lot line of lots on the north side of Bowman Street, and on the South by Ewing Avenue was legally advertised under date of November 23, 1964 and given public hearing on December 3, 1964. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the proposed zone change would be in the best interest of the subject area. It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended favorably to the Council. Very truly yours, CITY PLANNING COMMISSION Robert L.
