REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 26, 1964 <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />Councilman Geib announced that the Urban Redevelopment and Housing Committee is not prepared to make its report <br />at this time, but hope to at the next meeting. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Councilman Szymkowiak made a motion to name the new St. Joseph River Bridge the John F. Kennedy Bridge. The <br />motion died for lack of a second. <br />Councilman Smith made a motion that the Council wish success and victory to Senator Barry M. Goldwater. <br />Councilman Geib seconded the motion. President Hunter asked for a voice vote on the motion and it passed <br />8 -0. Opuncilman Szymkowiak was taken by surprise by the vote and failed to register an audible nay. <br />Councilman Geib made a motion that the Legislative Committee make a study as to whether the City Planning <br />Commission would be in existence After'64 and report back at the next meeting. Councilman Wise seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. President Hunter announced that members of the Legislative Committee are as <br />follows: Water Glass, Chairman;,Chester Muszynski, John Wise, John Hunter, Walter Szymkowiak and Janet Allen. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Geib made a motion to adjourn.
