REGULAR iM RTT= OCTOBER 26, 1964 ORDINANCE NO. 4700 - -64 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE SOUTH -BEND CITY WATER WORKS AND THE KOONTZ- WAGNER ELECTRIC CO., INC., FOR.ELECTRICAL WORK TO BE DONE ON THE SOUTH BEND CITY WATER WORKS CENTRAL CONTROL SYSTEM IN THE SUM OF $21,200.00. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Smith made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing on November 9, 1964. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. After some discussion, Councilman Wise made a motion to reconsider the ordinance. Councilman Smith seconded the motion. Councilman Wise made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 1 absent (Councilman Muszynski). The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 1 absent (Councilman Muszynski). ORDINANCE, FIRST & SECOND READING AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE SOUTH BEND CITY WATER WORKS AND THE STANCO MIDWEST SALES CO., FOR THE PURCHASE OF HIAB SPEED LOADER MODEL 177 WITH 18 FEET BOOM LENGTH IN THE SUM OF $4;210.00. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing on November 9, 1964. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE. FIRST & SECOND READING AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE SOUTH BEND CITY WATER WORKS AND THE MEMPHIS EQUIPMENT CO. FOR THE PURCHASE OF REO "M" SERIES 2'k TON 6X6 RECONDITIONED TRUCK IN THE SUM OF $4,395.00. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance be set,for public hearing on November 9, 1964. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. 5 MINUTE RECESS - 8 :50 P.M. RECONVENED MEETING - 8 :55 P.M. ORDINANCE NO. 4701 - -64 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE SOUTH BEND CITY WATER WORKS AND THE B & G CONSTRUCTION CO. INC., FOR GENERAL CONSTRUCTION WORK ON THE WATER WORKS CENTRAL CONTROL SYSTEM IN THE SUM OF $49,403.00. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Wise made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 1 absent (Councilman Muszynski). The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 1 absent (Councilman Muszynski). ORDINANCE, FIRST & SECOND READING AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FROM STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $203,000.00 TO MOTOR EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT S -722. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Glass made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. After some discussion, Councilman Glass with- drew his motion and Councilman Szymkowiak withdrew his second to the motion. Councilman Gafb made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing on November 9, 1964. Councilman Smith seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE, FIRST & SECOND READING ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS TO THE SERVICES - CONTRACTUAL ACCOUNTS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,500.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME FROM THE SERVICES - PERSONAL ACCOUNT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing on November 9, 1964. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE FIRST & SECOND READING AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,340.00 AND THE REDUCTIONS IN THE SAME AMOUNT OF ANOTHER ACCOUNT, TO -WIT: ACCOUNT L -11. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing on November 9, 1964. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried.
