REGULAR MEETING AUGUST Z4, 1904 <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: August 24, 1964 <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($2,500.00) TO THE CITY CEMETERIES <br />DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF.A TRUCK; SAID ($2,500.00) TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT N -12 INTO ACCOUNT N -722, <br />ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND ". <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the Council <br />as favorable, <br />/s/ Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman <br />Councilman Geib made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />August 24, 1964 <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom, was referred "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($500.00) TO THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CITY CLERK FOR THE PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL POSTAGE TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT C -362 INTO ACCOUNT C -212, ALL <br />IN THE GENERAL FUND ". <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the Council <br />as favorable. <br />/s/ Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file., Councilman Szymkowiak <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />August 11, 1964 <br />The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to rezone from "D" Light Industrial Use and "F" Height <br />and Area District to "C" Commercial 'Use and "C" Height and Area District the property lying South of the south <br />right -of -way line of Western Avenue, North of the north right -of -way line of the New York Central Railroad Co., <br />and North of the former southright -of -way line of the Grand Trunk Western Railway Company was legally advertised <br />under date of July 27, 1964 and given public hearing on August 6, 1964. The fallowing action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that the proposed <br />rezoning was in the best interest of the subject area. It was <br />therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that <br />the petition be recommended favorably to the Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Robert L.
