REGULAR MEETING AUGUST Z4, 1904 REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: August 24, 1964 Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($2,500.00) TO THE CITY CEMETERIES DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF.A TRUCK; SAID ($2,500.00) TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT N -12 INTO ACCOUNT N -722, ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND ". Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the Council as favorable, /s/ Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman Councilman Geib made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: August 24, 1964 Your Committee of the Whole to whom, was referred "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($500.00) TO THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK FOR THE PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL POSTAGE TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT C -362 INTO ACCOUNT C -212, ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND ". Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the Council as favorable. /s/ Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file., Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: August 24, 1964 Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING($1500.00) TO THE ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A TRUCK; SAID ($1500.00) TO BE A TRANSFER FROM.A000UNT V -37 INTO ACCOUNT V -722, ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND ". REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: August 11, 1964 The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to rezone from "D" Light Industrial Use and "F" Height and Area District to "C" Commercial 'Use and "C" Height and Area District the property lying South of the south right -of -way line of Western Avenue, North of the north right -of -way line of the New York Central Railroad Co., and North of the former southright -of -way line of the Grand Trunk Western Railway Company was legally advertised under date of July 27, 1964 and given public hearing on August 6, 1964. The fallowing action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the proposed rezoning was in the best interest of the subject area. It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended favorably to the Council. Very truly yours, CITY PLANNING COMMISSION Robert L.
