REGULAR. MEETING AUGUST 10, 1964 REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE (Continued) Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the ordinance be referred to the Ordinance Committee to report back to the Council and ordinance be set for public hearing on September 28, 1964. /s/ Edwin Thomas Smith, Chairman Councilman Smith made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 4678 - -64 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $200.00 FOR THE USE OF THE CITY PLAN COMMISSION IN THE PAYMENT OF ADDITIONAL EXPENSES INCURRED AS A CONSEQUENCE OF THE PUBLICATION OF LEGAL NOTICES REQUIRED BY LAW. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. ORDINANCE NO. 4679 - -64 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING CARLESS OPERATION OF VEHICLES IN THE CITY, DEFINING TERMS, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. ORDINANCE NO. 4680 - -64 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS AMENDED. (Section 18, sub - section a of Ordinance No. 3702) The ordinance, as amended, was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. ORDINANCE NO. 4681 - -64 ORDINANCE NO. 4681 - -64 BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS AMENDED, COMMONEY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. (75 Acre tract of land at Miami and Jackson Roads) The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. ORDINANCE. FIRST & SECOND READING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($1500.00) TO THE ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A TRUCK; SAID ($1500.00) TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT V -37 INTO ACCOUNT V -722, ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing on August 24, 1964. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE, FIRST & SECOND READING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($500.00) TO THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK FOR THE PURCHASE-OF ADDITIONAL.POSTAGE TO BE _A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT C -362 INTO ACCOUNT C -212, ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing on August 24, 1964. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE. FIRST:.& SECOND READING AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ($2,500.00) TO THE CITY CEMETERIES DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A TRUCK; SAID ($2,500.00) TO BE A TRANSFER FROM ACCOUNT N -12 INTO ACCOUNT N -722, ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Geib made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing on August 24, 1964. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried. 2 MINUTE RECESS - 9:38 P.M. Councilman Smith made a motion for a two minute: recess. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
