REGULAR MEETING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 69--64 <br />RESOLUTION FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE RADIO <br />EQUIPMENT FUND OF THE SOUTH BEND,FIRE DEPARTMENT IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $4,500.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SANE FROM <br />THREE OTHER ACCOUNTS IN THE PLANT AND EQUIPMENT CATEGORY <br />OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. <br />WHEREAS,, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget, so <br />that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated.in the annual budget for the various <br />functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary contingencies; and <br />WHEREAS, radio equipment is urgently needed by the Fire Department to assure its ability to properly perform its <br />function and the sum of $4,500.00 is needed forthwith; and <br />WHEREAS, a surplus exists in other accounts where it is not presently needed at this time; and more specifically <br />as follows, to-wit: <br />1. Two-thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) in Item Q-722 designated as property, motor equipment; <br />2. Two-thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) in Item Q-726 designated as property, other equipment; and <br />3. Five-hundred Dollars ($500.00) in Item Q-73 designated as property, land. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, That the sum of $4,500.00'be <br />transferred to Account No. Q-724 designated as property, radio equipment by transferring it from the following <br />accounts, to-wit: <br />1. Two-thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) from Account Q-722. <br />2. Two-thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) from Account Q-726. <br />3. Five-hundred Dollars ($500.00) from Account Q-73, <br />All of which said accounts are in the general . property category of the Fire Department. <br />/s/ Richard G. Geib <br />Member of the Common on Council <br />Councilman Allen made a motion for the adoption.of the Resolution. Councilman Smith seconded the motion. <br />Motion unanimously carried. Resolution adopted. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Smith made a motion to adjourn. Councilman <br />Muszynski seconded the motion.
