RESOLUTION NO. 52 - - -63 <br />RESOLUTION FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GENERAL PARK FUND -- $1,188.81 <br />AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME FROM ONE ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER IN THE SAME CATEGORY <br />OF THE GENERAL PARK FUND <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget, so <br />that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for.the various <br />functions of the Department of Public Parks to meet such extraordinary emergencies, and <br />WHEREAS, it has been ascertained that certain accounts in the General Park Fund have more money than is needed <br />at this time <br />SECTION I. That the following accounts be reduced in the amounts set opposite each account, to -wit: <br />Acct. No. Classification Item Amount <br />53 Current Charges Refunds, Awards & Indemnities $ 90.17 <br />64 Current Obligations Hospital Insurance 1,098.64 <br />Total $1,188.81 <br />SECTION 2.. That the following accounts be increased in the amounts set opposite each account, to -wit: <br />Acct. No. Classification <br />57 Current Charges <br />62 Current Obligations <br />Item <br />Taxes (Gross Income) <br />Social Security <br />Amount <br />$ 90.17 <br />1,098.64 <br />Total $1,188.81 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved by the Common Council of the City of South Bend that the sum of $1,188.81 be transfers <br />from Accounts No. 53 to 64 to.Accounts No. 57 and 62 as set out above in Sections 1 and 2 of this Resolution. <br />That the transfer of funds as set forth in Section 1 and Section 2 are required for the proper and efficient operation <br />and function of the Department of Public Parks of South.Bend and an extraordinary emergency is declared to exist <br />concerning the foregoing transfers. <br />Councilman Glass made a motion for adoption of the Resolution. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />by a roll call vote'of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent (Councilman Krueper). <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Councilman Tellson stated that some time ago he had made a request that the parking meters in front of the library <br />be removed to permit a loading zone. It was suggested that the Traffic Engineer meet with the Traffic and <br />Transportation Committee of the Council and report back to the Council as to recommendations made by Pommittee and <br />the Traffic Engineer <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Councilman Allen made a motion that the first Regular Meeting of the Council in November be held on November 12, 1963. <br />Councilman Ladewski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Lehman made a motion to adjourn. Councilman <br />Glass seconded the motion.
