ORDINANCE NO. 4540 - - -62 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND- SUPPLEMENTED (9.5 acres at Edison and Hickory) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Lehman made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. The Ordinance was then given thud reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. ORDINANCE NO. 4541 - - -62 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (21.5 acres on Jackson Road) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Lehman made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. The Ordinance was then given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Land owned by Drewrys, Inc., at Elwood and Wilber) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance be set for public hearing-on January 14, 1963. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 4542 - - -62 AN ORDINANCE ZONING A NEWLY ANNEXED TRACT NOW WITHIN AND A PART OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Ramco, Inc., land along Ironwood north of Inwood) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Lehman made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. The Ordinance was then given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. ORDINANCE NO. 4543 -- -62 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE USE OF METER MAIDS ON STREETS AND SIDEWALKS IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND THE JURISDICTION _OF THE CHIEF OF POLICE OVER SAID METER MAIDS The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. The Ordinance was then given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. RESOLUTION RESOLUTION OF COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND APPROVING THE URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AND THE FEASIBILITY OF RELOCATION FOR PROJECT NO. INDIANA R -29 The Clerk tead the Resolution and after discussion, Councilman Allen made a motion that action on the Resolution be deferred until January 14, 1963. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. RESOLUTION NO. 26 - - -62 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTAIN PAYMENTS TO BE MADE TO SALARIED EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, is approaching the close of its fiscal year; and, WHEREAS, the office of the City Controller will be required to make numerous payments and close its numerous and complicated accounts; and, WHEREAS, it is desirable that the work of said office be simplified; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: 1. That all salaried officers and employees of the City shall be paid their salaries for the month of December, 1962, on the 20th day of December, 1962. 2. The Controller of the City of South Bend -is hereby authorized to make said salary payments upon said date. 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. Resolution adopted. NEW BUSINESS Since the next regular meeting of the Council would occur on December 24th, Christmas Eve, Councilman Lehman made a motion to dispense with the meeting of December 24, 1962. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Comm Council, Councilman Lehman made a motion to adjourn.
