Councilman Lehman made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and <br />0 nays. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the <br />Ordinance be set for public hearing-on January 14, 1963. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4542 - - -62 <br />AN ORDINANCE ZONING A NEWLY ANNEXED TRACT NOW WITHIN AND A PART <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />(Ramco, Inc., land along Ironwood north of Inwood) <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Lehman made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />The Ordinance was then given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4543 -- -62 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE USE OF METER MAIDS ON STREETS AND <br />SIDEWALKS IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND THE JURISDICTION _OF THE <br />CHIEF OF POLICE OVER SAID METER MAIDS <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />The Ordinance was then given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION <br />RESOLUTION OF COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND APPROVING <br />THE URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AND THE FEASIBILITY OF RELOCATION FOR <br />PROJECT NO. INDIANA R -29 <br />The Clerk tead the Resolution and after discussion, Councilman Allen made a motion that action on the Resolution <br />be deferred until January 14, 1963. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 26 - - -62 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTAIN PAYMENTS TO BE MADE TO SALARIED <br />EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, is approaching the close of its fiscal year; and, <br />WHEREAS, the office of the City Controller will be required to make numerous payments and close its <br />numerous and complicated accounts; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is desirable that the work of said office be simplified; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />1. That all salaried officers and employees of the City shall be paid their salaries for the month of <br />December, 1962, on the 20th day of December, 1962. <br />2. The Controller of the City of South Bend -is hereby authorized to make said salary payments upon said <br />date. <br />3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />Js/ Chester Muszynski <br />DATED: December 10, 1962 <br />Councilman Lehman made a motion for adoption of the Resolution. Resolution adopted. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Since the next regular meeting of the Council would occur on December 24th, Christmas Eve, Councilman Lehman made <br />a motion to dispense with the meeting of December 24, 1962. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Comm Council, Councilman Lehman made a motion to adjourn.
