REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION (continued) north of Edison Road and 290 feet west of Ironwood Road "All Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District was legally advertised under date of February 19, 1962 and given public hearing on March 1, 1962. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that this is the most logical zoning for justice would be done by the granting of the petition. REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION April 9, 1962 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: said area and that substantial seconded and unanimously Councilman Allen seconded the mot The attached proposed ordinance originated by the City Planning Commission to zone the recently annexed land being more generally described as being a parcel of land on the west side of Ironwood Road 662 feet north and south by 290 feet east and west and lying 620 feet north of Edison Road "C" Commercial Use and "A " Height and Area District was legally advertised under date of February 19, 1962 and given public hearing on March 1, 1962. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that there is an apparent need for additional commercial zoning in the general area, and that the best use of subject land would be commercial. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (1.4 acres of land on Lilac South of Darden Road) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Lehman made a motion that the Ordinance be set for public hearing on May 14, 1962. Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (38.9 acres along the Pennsylvania Railroad Tracks) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance be set for public hearing on May 14, 1962. Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (.6 acres of land in Wilmette Park) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance be set for public hearing on May 14, 1962. 'Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (213 acres - Gertrude Street south of Rum Village Woods) The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Lehman made a motion that the Ordinance by set for public hearing on May 14, 1962. Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried.
