REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONTROL OF LAND SUBDIVISION AND THE APPROVAL OF PLAT AND REPLAT OF LAND WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE SOUTH BEND CITY PLANNING COMMISSION: PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION AND REPEALING ALL'ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, Respect- fully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE put into'.the Ordinance Committee for further study. /s/ T. W, Lehman, Chairman March 12, 1962 Councilman Lehman made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 3913 (AS AMENDED) (Electrical Inspection), Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE REPORTED as continued in the Committee of the Whole. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS, (2 acres on Edison Road east of Ironwood), Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE REPORTED FAVORABLE. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (All but the northwest corner of the block bounded by Wayne, Taylor, Scott and Western Avenue), Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE REPORT FAVORABLE. /s/ T. ORDINANCE NO. 4443 - - -62 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (2 acres of land on Edison east of Ironwood) The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. ORDINANCE NO. 4444 - - -62 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (All but the northwest corner of the block bounded by Wayne, Taylor Scott and Western Avenue) The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION March 8, 1962 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to zone the recently annexed land being more generally describ( as being a parcel of land on the east side of Ironwood Road 660 feet north and south by 355 feet east and west and lying 620 feet north of Edison Road "C" Commercial Use and "A" Height and Area District was legally advertised under date of February 19, 1962 and given public hearing on March 1, 1962. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the property in question lies between existing commercial zoning, that it was commercially zoned in the County, that there is an apparent need for additional commercial zoning in the general area, and`that the best use of subject land would be commercial.
