REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />February 9, 1962 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of . South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of the City Planning Commission to zone the recently annexed land being more generally describ <br />as a triangular shaped parcel of land lying between South Bend Avenue on. the north and west and Ironwood Road on the <br />east "C" Commercial Use and "A" Height and Area District was legally advertised under date of January 22, 1962 and <br />given public hearing on February 1, 1962. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that this is the most logical zoning for said area and that <br />substantial justice would be done by the granting of the petition. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />February 9, 1962 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of the South Bend Sand and Gravel Corporation to annex to the City of South Bend, Indiana a par- <br />cel of land being bounded on the west by Maple Road, on the north by Douglas Road (also known as Lathrop Avenue), and <br />on the east and south by the present city limits containing approximately 100 acres was legally advertised under date <br />of January 22, 1962, and given public hearing on February 1, 1962. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that the six determinants of annexation exist. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />ON THE 13th DAY OF JUNE, 1949 (Masonic Lodge property on North Lafayette) <br />.Prior to first and second reading on the above Ordinance, Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance be <br />referred to the Ordinance Committee for further study. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried.. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4435 - - -62 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (1900 Block Northside Blvd.) <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Glass made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Ordinance was then given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4436 - - -62 <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS (Police Pistol Range) <br />The - Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Krueper made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />The Ordinance was then given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
