REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />$2,300.00, Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE REPORTED <br />FAVORABLE. <br />/s/ T. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4403 - - -61 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS AMENDED <br />(Eddy Street between Sorin and Campeau) <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 6 ayes, (Councilmen Ladewski, Tellson, Glass, <br />Krueper, Lehman and Muszynski), 2 nays, (Councilmen Kroll and Allen) and 1 absent (Councilmean Coleman). <br />ORDINANCE, THIRD READING <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 <br />(Northeast corner of Bendix Drive and Crumstown Avenue) <br />The Ordinance was given.third reading and lost by a roll call vote of 8 nays, 0 ayes, 1 absent (Councilman Coleman). <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4404 - - -61 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #3702, ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />ON THE 13th DAY OF JUNE, 1949 (West side of Olive St., North of Lincolnway West) <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent (Councilman Coleman)I <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4405 - - -61 <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT - $2,300.00 <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent (Councilman Coleman <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />October 9, 1961 <br />The attached petition of the Common Council to rezone the property being described as beginning at the northeast <br />corner of Bendix Drive and Ardmore Trail, thence north along the east right -of -way line of Bendix Drive for a <br />distance of 218 feet, more or less, thence southeast parallel with the south right -of -way line of Lincoln Way West <br />for a distance of 310 feet, more or less, to a point on the north right -of -way line of Ardmore Trail, thence <br />southwest along the north right -of -way line of Ardmore Trail to the point of beginning from "B" Residential Use <br />and "A" Height and Area District to "C "Commercial Use and "D" Height and Area District was legally advertised under <br />date of September 25, 1961, and given public hearing on October 5, 1961. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found: <br />1. That the land in question is the south one -half of a triangular shaped lot the north .one -half of <br />which is used and zoned commercially. <br />2. That the land in question is vacant and always has been. <br />3. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that <br />the rules be suspended. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, and <br />0 nays, 1 absent (Councilman Coleman). The Ordinance was then given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of <br />8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent (Councilman Coleman). <br />
