Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />MASTER COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />AND ITS ENVIRONS` <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Coleman made a motion that <br />the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole who will have a meeting to consider the Ordinance and <br />then set it for public hearing at a later date. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Councilman Muszynski requested the Traffic Engineer to make a report at the next meeting of the Council as to the <br />Progress being made on control at Sample and Mayflower Road. Councilman Lehman moved to amend the above request <br />by including "all arterial streets" in the request. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Tellson asked about enforcement of the anti -noise Ordinance in that heavy trucks and other vehicles <br />were causing so much noise on Michigan Street as well as on other thoroughfares. Mr. Irving Smith, City Attorney, <br />stated that the rerouting of trucks is in progress and should be completed soon and therby noisy vehicles should <br />be removed from main streets. Councilman Tellson made a motion that the oral report of the City Attorney be ac- <br />cepted. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motu carried. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Glass made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Coleman <br />seconded the motion.
