254 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />SEPTEMBER 12, 1960. <br />Councilman Muszynski presented a petition bearing 1,745 signatures requesting a traffic light at Western Avenue and <br />Lombardy Drive and publicly complimented the women who obtained the signatures on the petition. Councilman Muszynski <br />made a motion that the petition be referred to the Traffic Engineer for immediate expediency. Councilman Lehman <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Council Meeting scheduled for September 26th be set over to September <br />27th and that all interested parties be notified. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Tellson made a motion that the meeting be set for 7:00 P.M., in that there is a heavy schedule of business <br />set -for that meeting. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that the Board of Public Works and Safety investigate the possibility of procuring <br />a patrol boat for the St. Joseph River for the purpose of discouraging speeding on the river. Councilman Lehman <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Coleman made a motion to adjourn. Council- <br />man Lehman seconded the motion.
