St. Louis Boulevard to a point where it intersects the center line of Napoleon Street; thence West <br />along said center line to the center line of Hill Street; thence South along the center line of <br />Hill Street approximately One Hundred Seven and Two- tenths (107.2') feet; thence West to the center <br />line of the first North and South alley; thence North to the center line of Napoleon Street; thence <br />West along the center line of Napoleon Street to the place of beginning, <br />for the purpose of constructing thereon a low -rent housing project consisting of approximately 150 units; <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Committee of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has inspected <br />said site and has determined that it would be a desirable location for the construction of a low -rent housing <br />project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That a site. <br />consisting of a parcel of land in the City of South Bend, Indiana, hereinabove described, be and the same is hereby <br />approved as a desirable site for a low -rent housing project consisting of approximately 150 units to be constructed <br />by The Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. Councilman Coleman seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried by a vote of 8 ayes, 1 nay. Councilman Allen voted in favor of this site. <br />RESOLUTION <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SITE CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY TWENTY -SIX (26) ACRES OF LAND LYING <br />ON THE WEST SIDE OF KEMBLE AVENUE BETWEEN DONALD STREET AND BRUCE STREET, BEING APPROXIMATELY <br />ONE THOUSAND T140 HUNDRED EIGHTY -EIGHT (1,288) FEET IN LENGTH, EAST AND WEST, AND NINE HUNDRED <br />(900) FEET IN WIDTH, NORTH AND SOUTH, IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION <br />OF A LOW RENT HOUSING PROJECT CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY THREE HUNDRED FIFTY (350) UNITS, BY <br />THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, has heretofore entered into a Cooperation Agreement with The <br />Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana; <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of said Cooperation Agreement, The Housing Authority of South Bend, <br />Indiana, has requested the City of South Bend, Indiana, to approve a site consisting of a parcel of land bounded <br />by a line running as follows, to -wit: <br />Beginning at a point on the West line of Kemble Avenue in said City which point is 30 feet West <br />of the East line of the South West quarter of said Section No. 14, and 660 feet North of the <br />South line of said Section, said point being the intersection of the said West line of Kemble <br />Avenue with the North line of Donald Street in said City, as dedicated in the Plat of South West <br />Addition, and being 25 feet North of the North East corner of Lot Numbered 1 as shown on the <br />recorded Plat of said South West Addition to the City of South Bend, as recorded in Plat Book No. 8, <br />page 187 of the records of said County; thence running North on the West line of Kemble Avenue a <br />distance of 899.73 feet to the South line of Bruce Street (formerly Oliver Street) in said City; <br />thence running West on the South line of Bruce Street a distance of 1287.7 feet to the West line of <br />the East half of the South West quarter of said Section No. 14; thence South on the West line of <br />said half quarter Section a distance of 901.1 feet to the North West corner of the South West <br />quarter of the South East quarter of South West quarter of said Section No. 14; thence running <br />East along the North line of the South half of the South East quarter of the South West Quarter of <br />said Section No. 14 a distance of 1288.6 feet, to the place of beginning, containing 25.287 acres, <br />more or less; excepting a right of way off of the West side thereof, <br />for the purpose of constructing thereon a low -rent housing project consisting of approximately Three Hundred Fifty <br />(350) Units; <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Committee of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has inspected <br />said site and has determined that it would be a desirable location for the construction of a low -rent housing <br />project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That a site <br />consisting of a parcel of land in the City of South Bend, Indiana, hereinabove described, be and the same is hereby <br />approved as a desirable site for a low -rent housing project consisting of approximately Three Hundred Fifty (350) <br />units to be constructed by The Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried by a vote of 8 ayes, 1 nay.
