AM REGULAR MEETING REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE: To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: AUGUST 11, 1958 Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING AND BRINGINE WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS ( IRELAND ROAD AND MIAMI ROAD) Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion it should be reported favorable. /s/ W. A. Hahn, Acting Chairman Councilman Erler made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion Motion carried. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE: To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING FROM POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT P -11 PERSONAL SERVICES THE SUM OF $5,700.00 TO POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT P -214 TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH $1,000.00; TO POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT P -331 GASOLINE $4,000.00; TO POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT P -332 OIL $700.00; AND FROM CONTROLLER'S OFFICE GENERAL FUND THE SUM OF $2,500.00 TO CONTROLLER's OFFICE ACCOUNT B -59 SOCIAL SECURITY $2,500.00 ALL OF THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 1958 OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY, Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion it should be reported favorable. /s/ W. (Miami Street and Ireland Road) This Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, no nays, 1 absent. ORDINANCE NO. 4238 -58 AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING FROM POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT P -11 PERSONAL SERVICES THE SUM OF $5,700.00 TO POLICE DE- PARTMENT ACCOUNT P -214 TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH $1,000.00; TO .POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT P -331 GASOLINE $4,000.00; TO POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT P -332 OIL $700.09, AND FROM CONTROLLER'S OFFICE GENERAL FUND THE SUM OF $2,500.00 TO CONTROLLER'S OFFICE ACCOUNT B -59 SOCIAL SECURITY $2,500.00, ALL OF THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 1958 OF THE CIVIL CITY :OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. THEIR ABATEMENT AND MATTERS RELATING THERETO. ( AS AMENDED ) The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, no nays, 1 absent. ORDINANCES, FIRST AND SECOND READING: ORDINANCE: 4N ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING FROM CITY PLAN COMMISSION ACCOUNT NO. 241 ADVERTISING AND PUBLICATION OF NOTICES, $50.00; ACCOUNT No. 242 PRINTING, OTHER THAN OFFICE SUPPLIES $80.00; ACCOUNT NO. 331 GASOLINE $50.00; ACCOUNT NO. 51 INSURANCE AND PREMIUMS $195.00; AND ACCOUNT NO. 725 OFFICE EQUIPMENT $350.00 TO CITY PLAN COMMISSION ACCOUNT NO. 41 BUILDING $250.00; AND ACCOUNT NO. 721 FURNITURE AND FIXTURES $475.00 ALL OF THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 1958 OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance be set for public hearing on September 8, 1958. Councilman Christman seconded the motion. Motion carried.
