37 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />VVQnT TYTTnM <br />RESOLUTION <br />MAY 20, 1958 <br />WHEREAS, Joseph Krol is a member of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, and <br />WHEREAS, he and his wife Irene Krol celebrated their twenty -fifth wedding anniversary on <br />the 24th day of May, 1958, and <br />WHEREAS, the members of the administration of the City of South Bend, including the members <br />of the Common Council, are indebted and grateful for the civic services performed by Mr. <br />Joseph Krol, and <br />WHEREAS, it is our desire to congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Krol on their twenty -fifth wedding <br />anniversary and to express our appreciation for the civic services performed by Joseph Krol. <br />IT IS, THEREFORE, RESOLVED that Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Krol be and they are <br />hereby congratulated on their 25th wedding anniversary, and we further <br />express our appreciation and gratitude for the civic services performed <br />by Joseph Krol. - <br />IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED That from and after the passage, attestation and signature by <br />the Clerk and presiding officer of the Council, that this resolution become effective <br />and a copy be delivered to Mr. and Mrs. Krol. <br />STANLEY C. TELLSON <br />Councilman Christman made a motion that the Resolution be adopted Councilman Carr seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. Resolution adopted. <br />WHEREAS, God in his infinite wisdom has called from this life Mrs. Arthur W. Fortier, the Mother <br />of our Deputy City Clerk Dorothy Scheer, and <br />WHEREAS, her untimely death has brought grief and sorrow to her daughter Dorothy Scheer, her <br />family and friends, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />extend to the Deputy City Clerk, Dorothy Scheer, and to her entire family, our sincere <br />sympathy in this their hour of deepest sorrow. <br />STANLEY C. Councilman Glass seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. Resolution adopted. <br />Councilman Kroll thanked the Council for their Resolution commemorating his twenty -fifth anniversary. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Councilman Tellson discussed the prohibition of parking at the curb which is painted yellow for stops for the busses. <br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the matter be referred to the Traffic Department to see if some arrangements <br />could be made for parking in these areas when bus service has been cut. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Christman asked that the Board of Public Works and Safety contact the Bus Company to see if the exhaust <br />from busses could be piped up in the air. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Kroll made a motion to adjourn.
