pr- <br />22 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />ORDINANCE, THIRD READING: <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING LANDS TO AND DECLARING SAME TO BE A <br />PART OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />(195.1 acres along Hickory Road between Edison and Hepler) <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and lost by a roll call vote of 9 nays, 0 ayes. <br />ORDINANCE, THIRD READING: <br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING LANDS TO AND DECLARING SAME TO BE A <br />PART OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />(1.4 acres along Rose Street) <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and ost.by a roll call vote of 9 nays, 0 ayes. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4221 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT THE SALE OF BABY RABBITS, CHICKS, <br />GOSLINGS, DUCKLINGS OR OTHER FOWL FOR NON- POULTRY PURPOSES, <br />AS PLAYTHINGS, NOVELTIES OR FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSES. <br />•A <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll tail vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4222 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS AMENDED, WHICH <br />ORDINANCE IS COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />(Western, Scott and Taylor -- Housing) <br />MARCH 24, 1958 <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Carr made a motion for sus- <br />pension of rules. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Ordinance was then given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9ayes, O nays. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Councilman Hahn stated that he had received complaints from persons living in the vicinity of Eddie's Restaurant, <br />that the owners are using an adjacent lot, which-is zoned "A" Residential, for parking cars. The Clerk was directed <br />to refer the complaint to the Building Department. <br />Councilman Christman made a motion, seconded by Councilman Hahn that the Building Department and Board of Public <br />Works and Safety, throught its Police Department, make an investigation of the unsightly condition and use which <br />does not conform to the Bu lding Code at the filling station at the Northeast corner of South Bend Avenue and Saint <br />Louis Boulevard, with a report back to the Council at the meeting April 28, 1958. <br />The City Attorney, Mr. Smith, directed the Clerk to write to the Board of Public Works and Safety asking the Clerk <br />to contact Mr. Parren Anderson of the Northern Indiana Transit Company, Inc., relative to attending a meeting in <br />the Office of the Board on Monday, March 31, at 9:30 A.M., with Mr. Tellson, to discuss the matter of the Beacon <br />Heights Bus. <br />Councilman Hahn made a motion that the Regular meeting of the Council on April 14, 1958, be cancelled. Councilman <br />Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to adjourn.
