This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after <br />its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publication. <br />Councilman Taylor seconded the motion. The motion carried. Councilman Miller then made a motion <br />that the ordinance pass, as amended, seconded by Councilman Taylor. Councilman Kopczynski felt the <br />Council should not act on the ordinance because many of the portions of the area were not residen- <br />tial areas, and many of the areas recently annexed to the city have not been given city services. <br />e felt this might happen in the newly annexed area. Councilman Parent asked Council President <br />emeth to outline the general area to be annexed. Council.President Nemeth summarized the area <br />eing considered for annexation. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of five ayes (Councilmen <br />rerge, Miller, Parent, Taylor and Nemeth) and three nays (Councilmen Szymkowiak, Kopczynski and <br />ewburn) with Councilman Horvath absent. <br />RDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND CERTAIN TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS THERETO <br />(GERMAN TOWNSHIP). <br />ilman Taylor made a motion that the ordinance be stricken from the .files, seconded by <br />ilman Newburn. The motion carried. <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />RESOLUTION NO. 431 -74 <br />A RESOLUTION FINDING AND ADJUDGING THAT <br />THE FINANCING OF FACILITIES FOR PRAIRIE <br />COMPANY BY THE ISSUANCE BY THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, OF ITS ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS PERTAINING TO <br />SUCH FACILITIES FOR SUCH ENTITY WILL BE <br />OF BENEFIT TO THE HEALTH OR WELFARE OF <br />THIS MUNICIPALITY, AND APPROVING THE <br />FINANCING THEREFOR. <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, heretofore has <br />created the South Bend Development Commission, hereinafter referred to as "Commission", <br />pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Economic Development Act of 1965, as amended, <br />supplemented or added to, including but not limited to the amendments, supplements or <br />additions of IC -1973, 18 -6 -4.5 or any other amendments, supplements or additions <br />thereto, hereinafter referred to as the "Act "; and <br />
