<br />Councilman Parent made a motion that the ordinance referred to in the report be set for public
<br />hearing and second reading on July 9, 1973, seconded by Councilman Kopczynski. The motion carried.
<br />IIREPORT FROM THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC PARKS
<br />Councilman Parent made a motion that the quarterly report from the Director of the Department of
<br />Public Parks be waived, seconded by Councilman Kopczynski. The motion carried unanimously.

<br />IIORDINANCE NO. 5538 -73
<br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
<br />BUREAU OF WASTEWATER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA, AND PACKARD INSTRUMENT COMPANY, INC.,
<br />DOWNERS GROVE, ILLINOIS, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
<br />MODEL 8087 (419 SERIES) GAS CHROMATOGRAPH SYSTEM,
<br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,268.00.
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Kopczynski made a motion,that the ordinance pass,
<br />seconded by Councilman Serge. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Councilmen
<br />Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn and Nemeth).

<br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY
<br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (CLAY AND GERMAN TOWNSHIPS).
<br />(This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Miller made a motion to amend Section 1 of the
<br />ordinance to read as follows:
<br />That the following described property in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana,
<br />is hereby annexed to and brought within the City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />Beginning at the intersection of the south right -of -way line of
<br />the Toll Road and the east line of Section 29, Twp. 38 North,
<br />Range 3 East;
<br />thence west along the south right -of -way line of the Indiana Toll Road
<br />a. distance of one mile to the west line of Section 29, Twp. 38
<br />North, Range 3 East;
<br />thence north along the west line of Section 29, Twp. 38 North, Range 3
<br />East, to the north right -of -way line of the Toll Road;
<br />thence westerly along the north right -of -way line of the Toll Road to
<br />the north and south center line of Section 25, Twp. 38 North,
<br />Range 2 East, which line is also the east city limits line of
<br />the Town of Roseland;
<br />thence north along the east city limits line of the Town of Roseland to
