Recessed at 11:45 p.m. Reconvened at 11:55 p.m. <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY . <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION <br />OF AMENDATORY CONTRACT FOR NORTHEAST CODE <br />ENFORCEMENT PROJECT, INDIANA E -3. <br />Councilman Taylor made a motion that the resolution be continued to the July 9, 1973, regular <br />meeting of the Common Council, seconded by Councilman Kopczynski. The motion carried. <br />ORDINANCES, FIRST READING <br />ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A <br />LEASE, TRUST INDENTURE, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />REVENUE BONDS AND THE FORMS AND TERMS OF THE <br />LEASE AND TRUST INDENTURE AND BONDS AND <br />MORTGAGE AND THE ISSUANCE OF ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS PERTAINING TO <br />R. LEE FAGEN, d /b /a FAGEN ENTERPRISES. <br />This ordinance had first reading. Councilman Horvath made a motion that the ordinance be set for <br />public hearing and second reading on July 9, 1973, at 7:00 p.m., seconded by Councilman Taylor. <br />The motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE CONFIRMING A CERTAIN RESOLUTION <br />ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS <br />AND THE PUBLIC RECREATION COMMISSION FOR THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, DEFINING THE <br />CONSTRUCTION AND SCOPE, PROHIBITING CERTAIN <br />ACTS AND ACTIVITIES, REGULATING USES IN THE <br />PARKS, REGULATING AND RESTRICTING VEHICULAR <br />TRAFFIC, PROTECTING PLANTS AND SHRUBS, PRO- <br />VIDING FOR PENALTIES, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES <br />IN CONFLICT AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />This ordinance had first reading. Councilman Miller made a motion that the ordinance be set for <br />public hearing and second reading on July 9, 1973, at 7:00 p.m.,, seconded by Councilman Kopczynski. <br />The motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $56,000.00 FROM <br />THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND, COMMONLY <br />REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR <br />VARIOUS MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY PROGRAMS, <br />TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br />This ordinance had first reading. Councilman Kopczynski made a motion that the ordinance be set <br />for public hearing and second reading on July 9, 1973, at 7:00 p.m., seconded by Councilman Horva <br />The motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN <br />THE BUREAU OF WASTEWATER OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND VARIAN INSTRUMENT <br />DIVISION, LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY, FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF A MODEL 1200 ATOMIC ABSORPTION/ <br />FLAME EMISSION SPECTROPHOTOMETER, IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $9,744.40. <br />This ordinance had first reading. Councilman Miller made a motion that the ordinance be set for <br />public hearing and second reading on July 9, 1973, at 7:00 p.m., seconded by Councilman Horvath. <br />The motion carried. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Councilman Parent made a motion that the next regular meeting of the Common Council to be held on <br />July 9, 1973, be scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., seconded by Councilman Taylor. The motion <br />carried. <br />Councilman Parent made a motion that the revenue sharing ordinance for the Department of Public <br />Parks in the amount of $375,483.00, which was referred to committee on February 26, 1973, be <br />stricken from the files, seconded by Councilman Kopczynski. The motion carried. <br />Councilman Parent made a motion that the revenue sharing ordinance for the Department of Human <br />Resources and Economic Development Department in the amount of $20,000.00, which was referred to <br />committee on February 26, 1973, be stricken from the files, seconded by Councilman Horvath. The <br />motion carried. <br />
