REGULAR MEETING APRTL 9, 1973 <br />REGULAR MEETING - RECONVENED (CONTINUED) <br />REPORT OF CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />MAKING CERTAIN ESTIMATES <br />Pursuant to the Municipal Economic Development Act of 1965, as amended, the <br />City of South Bend Economic Development Commission is required to make certain <br />estimates in regard to the acquisition and renovation of the property at 902 -1020 <br />West Sample Street, South Bend, by Curtis L. Crofoot of South Bend. The estimates <br />are as follows: <br />(1) The number of public services or facilities, including streets, <br />sidewalks, schools, sewers, street lights, fire and police protection <br />which would be made additionally necessary or desirable on account of <br />the proposed renovation are none and the expenses therefore are none. <br />(2) The total project cost of the proposed facilities will be approxi- <br />mately $300,000.00. <br />(3) The number of jobs to be created by the proposed facilities would be <br />approximately twelve in the management of the complex with an unknown <br />number of new employees involved with new tenants in the renovated <br />facilities. <br />Mr. Crofoot has been a resident of this area for many years and has been <br />affiliated with other businesses in the area. The contemplated renovation would <br />be done by local contracting firms and would add to the tax base of the area. A <br />firm commitment to purchase the bonds has been received by the Commission. <br />April 2, 1973 <br />Mr. Aaron H.
