2174 <br />REGULAR MEETI <br />REGULAR MEETING - RECONVENED (CONTINUED) <br />Councilman Parent indicated that there was some urgency on hiring an architect for the Civic Cent <br />therefore, he moved that the revenue sharing ordinance on the Civic Center appropriation be set <br />for public hearing and second reading on April 9, 1973, seconded by Councilman Taylor. There was <br />discussion on the request asked of the Mayor on increasing the appropriation, and Councilman Mill <br />questioned the legality of taking the matter from the committee to the floor. Mr. James Roemer, <br />City Attorney, indicated that he could speak for the Mayor on the Council's request for an increa <br />in the appropriation, and he felt sure that the Mayor would not approve the request. A roll call <br />vote was requested. The motion carried by a roll call vote of five ayes (Councilmen Serge, <br />Szymkowiak, Parent, Taylor and Horvath) and four nays (Councilmen Miller, Kopczynski, Newburn and <br />Nemeth) . <br />Because of the number of public hearings to be heard on April 9, 1973, Councilman Kopczynski made <br />a motion that the Common Council meeting be re- scheduled for 7:00 p.m., rather than the usual <br />8:00 p.m., seconded by Councilman Szymkowiak. The motion carried. <br />There being no further business, unfinished or new, to come before the Council, Councilman Horvath <br />made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Taylor.
