RZGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 93 1972 <br />REPORT FROM AREA PLAN COMMISSION <br />I <br />ID <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />In Re: A proposed ordinance and site development plan of Calvary Pentecostal <br />Church, Inc. to zone from "A" Residential to "B" Residential, property <br />located south of 3012 East Edison Road, South Bend. <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached rezoning petition of Calvary Pentecostal Church, Inc, was legally <br />advertised October 7 and October 14, 1972. The Area Plan Commission gave it a <br />public hearing on October 17, 1972 at which time the following action was taken: <br />"A motion by Robert Lehman that the petition of Calvary Pentecostal Church, <br />Inc. to zone from "A" Residential to "B" Residential be recommended <br />favorably to the Common Council subject to a final site plan, was seconded <br />by Ted Sharp and unanimously carried." <br />The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving <br />at the above decisions are shown in the minutes and will be forwarded to you at a <br />later date to be made a part of this report- <br />Very truly yours, <br />Howard Bellinger, Executive Director <br />m <br />Councilman Parent made a motion that the ordinance referred to in this report be set for 2nd <br />reading, public hearing and 3rd reading on November 13, 1972, seconded by Councilman Miller <br />The motion carried. <br />REPORT FROM AREA PLAN COMMISSION <br />m <br />W <br />The Honorable Common Council October 18, 1972 It <br />City of South Bend <br />County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />In Re: A proposed ordinance and site development plan of James and Naomi Ford to <br />zone from "A" Residential to "C" Commercial, property located on the northeast <br />corner of Main Street and Ireland Road, City of South Bend. <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached rezoning petition of James and Naomi Ford was legally advertised <br />October 7 and October 14, 1972. The Area Plan Commission gave it a public hearing <br />October 17, 1972 at which time the following action was taken: <br />"Upon motion by Charles Bowers, seconded by Roger Parent and unanimously <br />carried, the petition of James and Naomi Ford to zone from "A" Residential <br />to "C" Commercial is favorable recommended to the Common Council by the <br />Area Plan Commission subject to a final site plan." <br />The deliberations of the-Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving <br />at the above decision are shown in excerpts of the minutes and will be forwarded to <br />you at a later date to be made a part of this report. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Howard Bellinger, Executive Director <br />W <br />Councilman Horvath made a motion that the ordinance referred to in this report be set for 2nd <br />reading, public hearing and 3rd reading on November 13, 1972, seconded by Councilman Taylor. <br />Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />Councilman Parent moved to waive the reading of the Committee of the Whole report, seconded by <br />Councilman Taylor. The motion carried unanimously. <br />ORDINANCES, THIRD READING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5448 -72 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER <br />40 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />(Ironwood - Inwood Retention Basin) <br />This ordinance had third reading. Councilman Newburn made a motion that the ordinance pass, <br />seconded by Councilman Kopczynski. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes <br />(Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn and Nemeth). <br />
