H. Choitz & Co. on State Road #2, West of Pine Road <br />Dear Mr. King: <br />The Staff of the Area Plan Commission has reviewed the proposal for the land owned <br />by A. H. Choitz & Co. on State Road #2 and finds to be consistent with the Comprehensive <br />Development Plan for the South Bend area. The area in question is properly zoned. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Howard Bellinger, Executive Director <br />September 28, 1972 <br />Mr. Karl King, President <br />Economic Development Commission of South Bend <br />County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear Mr. King: <br />The Board of School Trustees for the South Bend Community School Corporation endorses <br />wholeheartedly the proposed construction of anew plant on State Road #2, just west <br />of Pine Road, in St. Joseph County Indiana. This land is owned by A. H. Choitz & Co. <br />Inc. of South Bend, Indiana. The application is from A. H. Choitz & Company of South <br />Bend, an Indiana partnership. <br />The School Corporation does not consider that this project would cause any major <br />change in school enrollments nor bring any burden upon present school facilities. <br />Sincerely, <br />Aaron H. Mr. Kenneth Fedder, Attorney for the Economic Devel <br />opment Commission, said that this involves a new plant on State Road 2, West of Pine Road. The <br />total project cost will be $300,000 and it will involve 15 additional employees and $170,000 <br />additional payroll. No additional public facilities will be required. The Commission is working <br />with the County Council on this and building plans have been submitted. Councilman Taylor made <br />a motion that the resolution be adopted, seconded by Councilman Kopczynski. The resolution was <br />adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, <br />Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn and Nemeth). <br />
