REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 14 1972
RESOLUTION NO. 323 -72 - ATTACHMENTS
" July 19, 1972 "
Mr. Frank Miles, President
Area Plan Commission
County -City Building
South Bend, Indiana
Dear Mr. Miles:
Our Commission has an application from International Bakers Services, Inc. of South
Bend, Indiana for an industrial revenue bond issue of $350,000 to enable them to build
a building on land contiguous to Airport Industrial Park - Phase III facing the Toll
Road with an entrance on Cleveland Road.
This building would house this well -known international business in this area and
benefit the community through increased employment with the expansion plans. The
company presently employs twelve people and expects to double this number in the near
future, and more later.
The planned building would not contribute to pollution, cause any unusual hazards,
nor be an increased burden to the police or fire department. The utility expansion
in Airport Industrial Park - III will service this building also.
The increased employment would be from people already living in the area and therefore
be of no additional burden to the school system. The planned building would be an
addition to our tax base and of benefit to the tax revenues, and therefore the school
system.
In accordance with the provisions of the Industrial Development Act, State of Indiana,
it is necessary for us to secure approval from the area plan commission having juris-
diction of the area in which the project is to be built.
We would appreciate your approval in the near future.
Cordially,
Karl G.
