work. They will employ an additional ten to fifteen people to their present
thirty, and may increase that to fifty additional employees within a few years.
The utility needs of the new plant should cause no additional burden to the
County for service. According to Mr. Klotz and Mr. Zeller, they will provide
their own water and sewage by well and septic system. They believe that police
and fire protection will be adequately provided by the now existing County
authorities.
The amount of application for the industrial revenue bond issue to finance the
project is $250,000.00. The National Bank and Trust Company of South Bend
have indicated their desire to purchase these bonds.
It is necessary under the Industrial Development Act, State of Indiana 1965 as
amended that we obtain approval of the School Corporation having jurisdiction
of the area in which the applicant is to be located. It is our feeling that
probably the employment of this plant would be drawn from Walkerton itself, but
we ask that you check this for its impact on the school system and would
appreciate your affirmative reply as soon as conveniently possible.
