Gavin Ferlic so moved, Oliver Davis seconded and all agreed to continue.
The next item bill no. 20 -13 was asked to be continued by the petitioner indefinitely. Oliver Davis
moved. Gavin Ferlic followed with a second and all agreed.
The last item, bill 21 -13 was a petition to rezone eighty -five (85) acres (Ignition Park) at the southeast
corner of Sample & Prairie.
Dr. Ferlic called upon Christa Nayder from the Area Plan Commission (APC) staff who reported a
unanimously favorable recommendation from the APC.
Michael Divita from the Community Investment Department made the presentation for the city. He
recounted the permissible uses in the Park and its development since the PUD was approved in 2012.
He said the few additional permitted uses were compatible with the original high -tech concept of the
park.
During council questioning Henry Davis was most vocal wondering whether the Park was in conflict with
the Renaissance Center. He expressed the concern that the millions invested in Ignition Park would now
.be jeopardized by the dollars directed to the Renaissance Center.
Scott Ford said the two projects were different; but were mutually supportive.
The Renaissance Center would always be a data center while Ignition Park was a destination for
commercialization born out of Innovation Park.
Henry asked which project was a priority. Which was seen as having the greatest potential payback.
