In order to encourage, induce and solicit such application by Ireland /Ironwood <br />Associates for such Industrial Revenue Bond issue relating to the additional construction of <br />such economic development facilities, the South Bend Economic Development Commission on behalf <br />of the City of South Bend, shall proceed to cooperate with and take such action as may be <br />necessary in the approval and drafting of documents or the performing of such other acts as <br />will facilitate the issuance of such Industrial Revenue Bonds by the City of South Bend to <br />provide funds to be used in the additional construction of such economic development facilities. <br />Section 3. Any costs or exprenses incurred in connection with said Ireland /Ironwood <br />Associates Project shall be included in the project costs and reimbursed from the proceeds of <br />the Insutrail Revenue Bonds to be issued with respect thereto. <br />Section 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage <br />by the Common Council of the City ofSouth Bend and approved by the Mayor. <br />/s/ Lewis A. Mr. Joseph Fisher, a representative <br />of the applicant, indicated that additional economic development funds were necessary in order <br />for them to make interior improvements for one tenant. Council Member Serge made a motion <br />to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member Szymkowiak. The resolution was adopted <br />by a roll call vote of nine ayes. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 753 -80 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF LICENSING RENEWALS FOR <br />SCRAP AND JUNK DEALERS. <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend recognizes the contributions that <br />recycling operations such as junk and scrap yeards make to the community; and the Council <br />further realizes that such operations must be reasonably regulated in order to minimize any <br />environmental or aesthetic nuisances which may be created by the operations of scrap and junk <br />yards within the city; and <br />WHEREAS, The common Council of the City of South Bend has enacted reasonable rules and <br />regulations with regard to the issuance of licenses and the operation of the scrap and junk <br />dealers; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with these rules and regulations, inspections of the scrap and junk <br />yards have been completed by the Environmental Protection Office and the Fire Prevention Bureau, <br />and it has been determined that no code violations exist on the properties; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works, at its meeting held on February 4, 1980, approved the <br />nenewal of licenses for the various scrap and junk dealers in the City of South Bend, subject <br />to approval of the Common Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />as follows: <br />SECTION 1.
