<br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Adams made a motion to set this bill for public
<br />hearing and second reading September 11, 1978, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The
<br />motion carried.

<br />A BILL TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $3,600.00 FROM ACCOUNT
<br />NO. 722.0, OTHER EQUIPMENT, TO ACCOUNT NO. 260.0, OTHER
<br />CONTRACTUALS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,600.00. ALL ACCOUNTS
<br />BEING WITHIN THE CITY ENGINEER BUDGET OF THE GENERAL
<br />FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
<br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Adams made a motion to set this bill for public
<br />hearing and second reading September 11, 1978, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The
<br />motion carried.
<br />BILL NO. 171 -78 A BILL TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $60,000.00 FROM ACCOUNT
<br />110.0, SALARIES AND WAGES, REGULAR, IN THE AMOUNT OF
<br />$20,000.00, AND ACCOUNT 120.0, SALARIES AND WAGES,
<br />TEMPORARY, IN THE AMOUNT OF $40,000.00 TO ACCOUNT 252.0,
<br />EQUIPMENT REPAIR, IN THE AMOUNT OF $60,000.00, ALL
<br />ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE BUREAU OF STREETS BUDGET
<br />OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND OF THE CITY OF
<br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
<br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Adams made a motion to amend this bill to read
<br />Account 430.0 Equipment Repair, instead of 252 Equipment Repair, seconded by Council Member
<br />Dombrowski. The motion carried. Council Member Adams made a motion to set this bill for
<br />public hearing and second reading September 11, 1978, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski
<br />The motion carried.
<br />REPORTS FROM AREA PLAN
<br />Northeast corner of Inwood and Ironwood:
<br />"Upon a motion by Rene Vandewalle, being seconded by Kenneth
<br />Woods and carried with Earl Kime abstaining, the petition
<br />of Brethren Care of South Bend, Inc., to zone from "A"
<br />Residential, "A" Height and Area, to "B" Residential, "B"
<br />Height and Area, property located at the northeast corner
<br />of Inwood and Ironwood Drive, City of South Bend, is re-
<br />turned to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation,
<br />subject to a final site plan."
<br />Northeast corner of Pleasant and Ironwood:
<br />"Upon a motion by June Stratton, being seconded by Harry
<br />Casad and unanimously carried, the petition of Dale A.
<br />Brink, to zone from "B" Residential "A" Height and Area,
<br />to "C" Commercial, "F" Height and Area, property located
<br />at the northeast corner of Pleasant and Ironwood, City
<br />of South Bend, is returned to the Common Council with an
<br />unfavorable recommendation."
<br />Council Member Adams made a motion to set the appropriate bills for public hearing and second
<br />reading September 11, 1978, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The motion carried.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Council unfinished or new, Council Member
<br />Taylor made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Adams. The motion carried and
<br />the meeting was adjourned at 10:15 p.m.
