REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 25 1976 <br />ORDINANCES, FIRST READING <br />ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE.FORM AND TERMS OF <br />LEASE AND TRUST INDENTURE AND ECONOMIC DE- <br />VELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION THEREOF PERTAINING TO ADAPTO, INC. <br />This ordinance had first reading. Council Member Dombrowski made a motion to set this ordinance <br />for public hearing and second reading November 8, 1976, seconded by Council Member Adams. The <br />motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $6,224.10 IN THE <br />GENERAL FUND. TRANSFERS ARE BEING MADE IN <br />VARIOUS BUDGET CLASSIFICATIONS WITHIN THE <br />GENERAL FUND. <br />This ordinance had first reading. Council member Horvath made a motion to set this ordinance <br />for public hearing and second reading November 8, 1976, seconded by Council Member Adams. The <br />motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE APPRORIATING $62,000.00 FROM <br />THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY RE- <br />FERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR <br />ESTABLISHING THE PERMANENT ENVIRONMENTAL <br />WORK CREW, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH THE BUREAU OF STREETS. <br />This ordinance had first reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to set this ordinance for <br />public hearing andsecond reading November 8, 1976, seconded by Council Member Adams. The motion <br />carried. <br />ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ACCOUNT 251.0 BUILDING <br />AND STRUCTURES REPAIR, AS SET FORTH BELOW, IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $2,200.00, AND DECREASING VARIOUS <br />ACCOUNTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,200.00. ALL ACCOUNTS <br />BEING WITHIN THE BUREAU OF MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM <br />BUDGET OF THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA. <br />This ordinance had first reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to set this ordinance for <br />public hearing and second reading November 8, 1976, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The <br />motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $1,500.00 FROM <br />ACCOUNT 120.0 "SALARIES AND WAGES, TEMPORARY" TO <br />ACCOUNT 726.0 "OTHER EQUIPMENT" BOTH ACCOUNTS BEING <br />WITHIN THE BUREAU OF CEMETERIES BUDGET, IN THE GENERAL <br />FUND. <br />This ordinance had first reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to set this ordinance for <br />public hearing and second reading November 8, 1976, seconded by Council Member Adams. The motion <br />carried. <br />ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $30,000 FROM THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT FUND, FOR THE PROVISION OF SOCIAL SERVICES <br />(UNITED WAY -DAY CARE), TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES. <br />This ordinance had first reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to set this ordinance for <br />public hearing and second reading November 8, 1976, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The <br />motion carried. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Council Member Adams said that several Council Members have projects they feel are not completed, <br />therefore, they would like Mr. Farrand to present an up -date in writing of all projects and their <br />standings at the next caucus. Council President Parent instructed the City Clerk's office to sen <br />a letter to Mr. Farrand informing him of this request. <br />Council Member Serge indicated he was receiving numerous complaints about Darden Bridge, and he <br />would like a letter sent to the Commissioners indicating they should check this bridge to see <br />if it is safe. Council Member Adams indicated she was concerned about this bridge, and she <br />thought the City should go on record as asking that something be done. Council Member Adams made <br />a motion to direct the City Clerk's office to write a letter to the Commissioners, and ask that <br />it be put on their meeting agenda, expressing the Common Council's concern over the condition of <br />the bridge, seconded by Council Member Serge. The motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, Council Member <br />Adams made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski.
