REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 22 1975 REGULAR MEETING - RECONVENED (CONTINUED) ORDINANCE NO. 5892 -75 AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $5,000.00 BETWEEN VARIOUS ACCOUNTS IN THE BUREAU OF VEHICLE MAINTENANCE, ALL ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND, CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Serge made a motion to pass the ordinance, seconded by Councilman Newburn. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of eight ayes (Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor, Horvath, Nemeth, Newburn and Parent) with Councilman Kopczynski absent ORDINANCE NO. 5893 -75 AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $9,550.00 BETWEEN VARIOUS ACCOUNTS IN THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Newburn made a motion to pass the ordinance, seconded by Councilman Szymkowiak. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of eight ayes (Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor, Horvath, Nemeth, Newburn and Parent) with Counci Kopczynski absent. RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 495 -75 A RESOLUTION FOR TRANSFER OF FUNDS IN THE GENERAL PARK FUND $4,100.00. ALL TRANSFERS ARE BEING MADE IN THE SAME BUDGET CLASSIFICATIONS WITHIN THE GENERAL PARK FUND. WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to transfer money from one account to another in the same category in the annual budget for various functions of the Department of Public Parks to meet such extraordinary emergencies; and WHEREAS, it has been ascertained that a certain account in the Park General Fund has more money than is needed at this time. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND: Section I. That the following accounts be reduced in the amount set opposite said account, to -wit: Acct. No. Classification Item Amount 312.0 Supplies Fuel Oil $4,100.00 Section II. That the following account be increased in the amount set opposite said account, to -wit: Acct. No. Classification Item Amount 321.0 Supplies Gasoline $4,100.00 That the transfer of funds as set forth in Sections I and II are required for proper and efficient operation and function of the Department of Public. Parks of South Bend and an extraordinary emergency is declared to exist concerning the foregoing transfer. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council of the City of South Bend. s/ Roger O. Parent Member of the Common Council A public hearing was held at this time on the resolution. Mr. Robert Niezgodski, Assistant Superintendent of Business, explained that the funds would be used in the gasoline supply account because a shortage had occurred as a result of higher prices charged by the suppliers and the heavier schedule of grass mowing caused by the more than usual amounts of precipitation. He indicated that the amount was available from the fuel oil account because of last year's mild wing and the reducing of the thermostats to 68 degrees. Councilman Serge made a motion that the resolution be adopted, seconded by Councilman Szymkowiak -.' The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of eight ayes (Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller Taylor, Horvath, Nemeth, Newburn and Parent) with Councilman Kopczynski absent. ORDINANCES, FIRST READING ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FORM AND TERMS OF LEASE AND TRUST INDENTURE AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION THEREOF PERTAINING TO NORMAN F. ERNSBERGER - LAVERN D. JESSUP, A GENERAL PARTNERSHIP. This ordinance had first reading. Councilman Horvath made a motion to set the ordinance for publi hearing and second reading on October 6, 1975, seconded by Councilman Taylor. The motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FORM AND TERMS OF LEASE AND TRUST INDENTURE AND INDUSTRIAL (continued)
