REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 27, 1975 <br />REGULAR MEETING - RECONVENED (CONTINUED) <br />TITION TO AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE (CONTINUED) <br />AND <br />A parcel of land located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 10, Township 37 <br />North, Range 2 East and being more particularly described as follows: <br />Beginning at the intersection of the south right -of -way line of Dunham <br />Street and the north right -of -way line of the New Jersey, Indiana and <br />Illinois Railroad; thence southwest along said railroad right -of -way <br />approximately eighty (80') feet to the east right -of -way line of a <br />vacated north -south alley; thence north along said vacated alley right - <br />of -way line approximately thirty (30') feet to the south right -of -way <br />line of Dunham Street; thence east along said south line of Dunham <br />Street approximately seventy -five (751) feet to the place of <br />beginning, in the Recorded Plat of Realty Construction Company's <br />Second Addition to the City of South Bend, all being located in St. <br />Joseph County, Indiana. <br />4. It is desired and requested that the foregoing property be rezoned from <br />"E" Heavy Industrial Use, and "F" Height and Area District, to "D" Light <br />Industrial Use and "F" Height and Area District. <br />5. It is proposed that the use of the property will remain as it is used now <br />and that any re -use will be for light industry. <br />6. Number of off - street parking spaces to be provided <br />7. The motion carried. <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIA- <br />TION IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,000.00 FROM THE <br />CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND, IN <br />OBLIGATED SURPLUS, TO ACCOUNT NO. 0610.0, <br />"INTEREST ON BONDS AND NOTES ", AN ACCOUNT <br />WITHIN THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />BUDGET OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA. <br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Kopczynski made a motion to pass the ordinance, <br />seconded by Councilman Serge. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Councilmen <br />Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Nemeth, Newburn and Parent). <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5796 -75 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF <br />$172,000.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE <br />GRANT FUND TO ACCOUNT NO. 260.1, "ARCHITECT <br />AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT FEES AND <br />EXPENSES ", AN ACCOUNT WITHIN THE NEW <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM F.A. 75, "CIVIC <br />CENTER CONSTRUCTION ", TO BE ADMINISTERED <br />BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Serge made a motion to pass the ordinance, seconded <br />by Councilman Miller. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Councilmen Serge, <br />Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Nemeth, Newburn and Parent). <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5797 -75 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $50,000.00 <br />FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT <br />COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE <br />SHARING, FOR VARIOUS HUMAN RESOURCES <br />PROGRAMS, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT <br />OF HUMAN RESOURCES. <br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Miller made a motion to amend the ordinance as <br />amended in the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Councilman Taylor. The motion carried. <br />Councilman Serge then made a motion to pass the ordinance, as amended, seconded by Councilman <br />Miller. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of seven ayes (Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, <br />Miller, Taylor, Kopczynski, Nemeth and Newburn), one nay (Councilman Horvath) and one abstention <br />(Council President Parent). <br />
