REGULAR MEETING JULY 11, 1983 WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designated the area commonly known as 445 North Seridan Avenue, South Bend, and more particularly described by a line drawn as follows: A tract of land in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 41 Township 37 North, Range 2 East located in Portage Township, City of Suth Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the West line of Sheridan Avenue (80 foot right -of -way) 420.19 feet North (assumed bearing) of the North line of Linden Avenue (80 foot right -of -way) which point is also, 207 feet West and 460.19 feet North of the Southeast corner of said Southwest 1/4 of Section 4; thence Northerly along said West line of Sheridan Avenue 673.22 feet to the southerly right -of -way line of the Consolidated Rail Corporation (formerly the New YorkCentral Rialroad); thence North 70018130" west along saidSotherly right -of -way line of the Consolidated Rail Corporation 429.83 feet; thence South 00008'15" East of the North line of Linden Avenue; thence East perpendicular to the West line of Sridan Avenue 370.56 feet to the point of beginning, containing 6.268 acres, more or less. WHEREAS, the Council held a public hearing for the purposes of hearing all remonstr and objections from interested persons; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the qualifications for an economic revitalization area have been met. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: SECTION I. That the Common Council hereby confirms its Declaratory Resolution designating the area described herein as an Economic Revitalization Area for purposes of tax abatement. Such designation is for personal property tax abatement only and is limited to five (5) calendar years from the date of adoption of the Declaratory Resolution by the Common Council. SECTION II. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. /s/ Beverlie J.Beck Member of the Common Council RESOLUTION NO. 107J -83 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF A DECLARATORY RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND COMMONLY KNOWN AS 445 NORTH SERIDAN AVENUE, SOUTH BEND TO BE AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF TAX ABATEMENT. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: SECTION I.
