Colleen Rosenfield, Community <br />Development Director, indicated that New Hope Hosuing will be rehabilitating and <br />managing fifteen single family rental units in the Southeast Neighborhood Strategy <br />Area. She indicated that they had allocated a total of $100,000 of Block Grant Funds <br />for this demonstration project for the 1981 -82 program year. Council Member Serge <br />made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The <br />resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of eight ayes. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 930 -81 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS TO NEGOTIATE THE SALE <br />OF A CITY -OWNED LOT LOCATED AT 112 E. OHIO STREET. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, pursuant to the <br />Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Chapter 14.5, has offered for sale the <br />following described property: <br />A lot or parcel of land situated in the N.W. 1/4 of Sec. 13, Township 37 North, <br />Range 2 East, and bounded by a line running as follows, viz: Beginning 116.3 <br />feet east of the intersection of the south line of Ohio Street and the east line <br />of Michigan Street in the Cityof South Bend, Indiana; thence running south 49 <br />feet; thence running east 32.2 feet; thence running north 49 feet; thence west <br />32.2 feet to the place of beginning. <br />at an offering price of $307.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has now received an <br />offer to purchase the property at 112 E. Ohio Street for a price of $100.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has now complied with all requirements of the <br />Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Chapter 14.5, which establishes procedures <br />for the disposition of real property owned by the City of South Bend, and more specifical: <br />real property valued by by the Board at less than $1,000.00. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend <br />that: <br />SECTION I. The Board of Public Works be authorized to negotiate a contract for <br />the sale of <br />A lot or parcel ofland situated in the N.W. 1/4 of Sec. 13, Township 37 North, <br />Range 2 East, and bounded by a line running as follows, viz: Beginning 116.3 <br />feet east of the intersection of the south line of Ohio Street and the east line <br />of Michigan Street in the Cityof South Bend, Indiana; thence running south 49 <br />feet; thence running east 32.2 feet; thence running north 49 feet; thence west <br />32.2 feet to the place of beginning. <br />for a total price of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). <br />SECTION II. Joseph Kernan, City Controller <br />indicated that an offering price of $307 was established for this property, however, <br />the propospective purchasher has offered the sum of $100. He indicated that <br />the Board of Works is desirous in placing this property back on the tax rolls. Council <br />Member Serge made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member <br />Dombrowski. The resolution was adpted by a roll call vote of eight ayes. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 931 -81 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS TO NEGOTIATE THE SALE <br />OF A CITY -OWNED LOT LOCATED AT 238 E. PARIS STREET. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, pursuant to the <br />Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Chapter 14.5, has offered for sale the <br />following described property: <br />Lot 75, Elder Place Addition to the City of South Bend <br />at an offering price of $461.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has now received an <br />offer to purchase the property at 238 E.
