?3 REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 23, 1981 /s/ LEWIS A. MCGANN Member ot the Common Council A public hearing was held on the resolution at this time. Colleen Rosenfield, Community Development Director, indicated that New Hope Hosuing will be rehabilitating and managing fifteen single family rental units in the Southeast Neighborhood Strategy Area. She indicated that they had allocated a total of $100,000 of Block Grant Funds for this demonstration project for the 1981 -82 program year. Council Member Serge made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of eight ayes. RESOLUTION NO. 930 -81 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS TO NEGOTIATE THE SALE OF A CITY -OWNED LOT LOCATED AT 112 E. OHIO STREET. WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, pursuant to the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Chapter 14.5, has offered for sale the following described property: A lot or parcel of land situated in the N.W. 1/4 of Sec. 13, Township 37 North, Range 2 East, and bounded by a line running as follows, viz: Beginning 116.3 feet east of the intersection of the south line of Ohio Street and the east line of Michigan Street in the Cityof South Bend, Indiana; thence running south 49 feet; thence running east 32.2 feet; thence running north 49 feet; thence west 32.2 feet to the place of beginning. at an offering price of $307.00; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has now received an offer to purchase the property at 112 E. Ohio Street for a price of $100.00; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has now complied with all requirements of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Chapter 14.5, which establishes procedures for the disposition of real property owned by the City of South Bend, and more specifical: real property valued by by the Board at less than $1,000.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend that: SECTION I. The Board of Public Works be authorized to negotiate a contract for the sale of A lot or parcel ofland situated in the N.W. 1/4 of Sec. 13, Township 37 North, Range 2 East, and bounded by a line running as follows, viz: Beginning 116.3 feet east of the intersection of the south line of Ohio Street and the east line of Michigan Street in the Cityof South Bend, Indiana; thence running south 49 feet; thence running east 32.2 feet; thence running north 49 feet; thence west 32.2 feet to the place of beginning. for a total price of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). SECTION II. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. /s /Lewis A. Joseph Kernan, City Controller indicated that an offering price of $307 was established for this property, however, the propospective purchasher has offered the sum of $100. He indicated that the Board of Works is desirous in placing this property back on the tax rolls. Council Member Serge made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The resolution was adpted by a roll call vote of eight ayes. RESOLUTION NO. 931 -81 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS TO NEGOTIATE THE SALE OF A CITY -OWNED LOT LOCATED AT 238 E. PARIS STREET. WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, pursuant to the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Chapter 14.5, has offered for sale the following described property: Lot 75, Elder Place Addition to the City of South Bend at an offering price of $461.00; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has now received an offer to purchase the property at 238 E. Paris Street for a price of $200.00; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has now complied with all requirements of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Chapter 14.5, which establishes procedures for the disposition of real property owned by the City of South Bend, and more specific real property valued by by the Board at less than $1,000.00. y Ly
