This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after <br />its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />/s /Beverlie Beck <br />Member of the Common Council <br />A public hearing was held on the resolution at this time. Council Member Beck read <br />the resolution. Joseph Simeri, attorney for the Crossing Guards, indicated they strongly <br />urged the resolution be adopted. Pat Miller, 2213 Lincoln Way West, spoke against <br />this resolution. Council Member Taylor made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded <br />by Council Member Serge. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of eight <br />ayes. <br />BILLS, FIRST READING <br />BILL NO. 72 -81 <br />A BILL APPROPRIATING $60,000.00 FROM THE SEWAGE WORKS DEPRECIATION <br />FUND TO ACCOUNT NO. 0722, MOTOR EQUIPMENT, WITHIN THE SEWAGE <br />WORKS DEPRECIATION FUND. <br />This bill had first <br />reading. .Council Member Taylor made a motion to set this bill for <br />public hearing and second reading August 10, seconded by Council Member Crone. The <br />motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 73 -81 <br />A BILL APPROPRIATING $100,000.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE <br />GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FOR <br />THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND REPAIRS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE. <br />This bill had first <br />reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to set this bill for <br />public hearing and <br />second reading August 10, seconded by Council Member Beck. The <br />motion carried. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Report from Area Plan <br />- 1441 Northside Blvd. Council Member.Beck made a motion to set <br />this bill for public <br />hearing and second reading August 10, seconded by Council Member <br />Taylor. The motion <br />carried. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Council Member Voorde asked Mr. Kernan to inform him of the personnel status of Mikki <br />Dobski. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, Council <br />Member Zielinski made a motion'to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Crone.
