EXECUTION AND CLOSEOUT REQUIREMENTS <br />2024.00254 – Madison Lifestyle District Phase I Utility Design Water Main Replacement <br />017000 - 1 <br />SECTION 01 70 00 - EXECUTION AND CLOSEOUT REQUIREMENTS <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A. Field engineering. <br />B. Closeout procedures. <br />C. Project record documents. <br />D. Operation and maintenance data. <br />E. Spare parts and maintenance products. <br />F. Product warranties and product bonds. <br />G. Examination. <br />H. Preparation. <br />I. Execution. <br />J. Cutting and patching. <br />K. Protecting installed construction. <br />L. Final cleaning. <br />1.2 FIELD ENGINEERING <br />A. Employ land surveyor registered in State of Indiana and acceptable to Engineer. <br />B. Locate and protect survey control and reference points. Promptly notify Engineer of discrepancies <br />discovered. <br />C. Control datum for survey is indicated on Drawings. <br />D. Prior to beginning Work, verify and establish elevations of existing facilities to ensure that new Work <br />will meet existing elevations in smooth and level alignment except where specifically detailed or <br />indicated otherwise. <br />E. Verify setbacks and easements; confirm Drawing dimensions and elevations. <br />F. Provide field engineering services. Establish elevations, lines, and levels using recognized engineering <br />survey practices. <br />G. Submit copy of Site drawing signed by land surveyor certifying elevations and locations of the Work are <br />in conformance with Contract Documents. <br />H. Maintain complete and accurate log of control and survey Work as Work progresses. <br />I. Protect survey control points prior to starting Site Work; preserve permanent reference points during <br />construction. <br />J. Promptly report to Engineer loss or destruction of reference point or relocation required because of <br />changes in grades or other reasons.
