MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION <br />XXI. <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: 2026, INDOT Standard Specifications Sections 110 <br />B. Additions: <br />1. The payment for mobilization and demobilization will be limited to 5% of the total contract cost. The <br />payment for mobilization will be 75% of the lump sum cost of the contract item for mobilization and <br />demobilization. The remainder of the payment for the item will be considered for demobilization <br />and paid at the completion of the project. <br />2. Prior to starting work, the Contractor will video the conditions within the right of way and the <br />adjacent property. The video shall clearly document, at a minimum, conditions within the right of <br />way, all adjacent pavements on property adjacent to the right of way and each building on a lot <br />adjacent to the project. The Contractor will provide a digital copy of the video to the City. The <br />payment for the video will not be paid for directly. <br />3. The Contractor is responsible for protecting all trees, shrubs, lawns, etc. in the work area. The <br />Contractor shall install tree protection based upon the plans prior to starting any removal work. The <br />Contractor shall inform the City's representative and the resident of any potential conflicts and/or <br />landscaping issues in advance of proceeding with any work. The tree protection will not be paid <br />for directly but shall be included in the Mobilization and Demobilization pay item. <br />4. Mobilization and Demobilization will be paid for under the lump sum item and price as set forth in <br />the proposal. <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: 2026, INDOT Standard Specifications Sections 105 <br />B. Additions: <br />The Contractor shall provide for any necessary layout and staking. The Contractor shall be <br />responsible for positive drainage in all the infrastructure improvements. Adjustments required due <br />to field conditions shall be approved by the Engineer prior to installation. <br />2. Construction engineering for installation of roadway and utility improvements shall include the <br />layout of design elements by professionally qualified personnel.
