Start wrap at the ground and cover the trunk to height of the first branches and <br />securely attach to the trunk using biodegradable tape suitable for nursery use. Tape shall be <br />loosely wrapped around the wrapping material in a single layer to permit its breakdown and <br />unrestricted tree growth of 1 inch. All wrap/tape shall be removed from tree in one year as part of <br />maintenance. <br />21. Warrant and maintain materials for a period of two (2) years from the date of substantial <br />completion. Defects resulting from neglect by the Owner, abuse or damage by others, or unusual <br />phenomena or incidents beyond the Contractor's control are exempt. Should questions arise <br />concerning the responsibility of replacement, the Engineer shall be the sole judge of the need for <br />replacement. Replace plantings at no additional cost to the owner. <br />22. Planting Mix, Fertilizer, Herbicide, Tree Wrap, Aggregate, Treegator Bags, Mulch, Edging, and <br />Water will not be paid for directly but shall be included in the cost of the planting. <br />23, Begin maintenance immediately after planting. Maintenance during planting season will not be <br />paid for directly but shall be included in the cost of the planting. <br />24. Planting will be paid for by the number of units of each plant specified, installed, and accepted at <br />the unit price set forth in the contract. <br />XXXIV. TURF REINFORCEMENT MAT <br />A. Work shall include all material, delivery, workmanship, and installation required to install Turf <br />Reinforcement Mat as shown in the plans <br />2. Turf Reinforcement Mat (TRM) shall be ShearForcel0 Hybrid Turf Instant Armor Mat as <br />manufactured by GrassWorx or approved equal. <br />3. TRM shall be installed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. <br />4. TRM shall be rolled in the direction of the water flow and properly fastened and overlapped with the <br />adjacent mat. <br />5. Turf Reinforcement Mat will be measured by the square yard of mat that is properly installed. <br />6.
