ORDINANCE NO. 7652 -86 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3606 EAST JEFFERSON BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. This bill had second reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to amend this bill, as amended in the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 7653 -86 AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY: THE 1ST EAST /WEST ALLEY NORTH OF PLEASANT STREET RUNNING EAST FROM TWENTY- EIGHTH STREET TO THE 2ND INTERSECTING NORTH /SOUTH ALLEY EAST OF TWENTY- EIGHTH STREET, EXCEPTING THE 15' R/W OF THE 1ST INTERSECTING NORTH /SOUTH ALLEY EAST OF TWENTY- EIGHTH STREET FOR A COMBINED DISTANCE OF 265 FEET MORE OR LESS AND BEING IN HORNE'S SUBDIVISION OF LOT B IN SOUTH BEND, IN. ORDINANCE NO. 7654 -86 AN ORDINANCE ON A BILL TO VACATE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY: THE SOUTH TWO (2) FEET OF BROADWAY STREET FROM MAIN STREET TO THE FIRST ALLEY EAST OF MAIN STREET. This bill had second reading. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to pass this bill, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes. RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 1416 -86 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE INDIANA CRIMINAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE WHEREAS, the Mayor is the chief executive officer of the City of South Bend and thus is the applicant for a grant from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute; and WHEREAS, the receipt of a Criminal Justice Institute Grant will enable the City of South Bend to provide funding for a Sex Offense Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. The Common Council hereby establishes the authority of the Mayor of the City of South Bend to submit a grant application to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute for funding for the Sex Offense Program to be administered through the South Bend Police Department and Madison Center. SECTION II. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and approval by the Mayor. /s/ Beverlie J. Captain Wolvis indicated this grant would be used for services for victims of sexual assault through funding of the Sex Offense Program of the Madison Center Program. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes.
