REGULAR- MEETING - - FEBRUARY- 24 -, 1986 _._ <br />.i <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7k07 -86 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $120,000.00 FROM THE LOCAL <br />ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT R7S 8507, R -O -W <br />ACQUISITION LOGAN /HICKORY, WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD AND <br />STREET FUND. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Beck made a motion to suspend the rules <br />and have public hearing and second reading on this bill, seconded by Council Member <br />Zakrzewski. The motion carried on a roll call vote of nine ayes. This being the <br />time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents and opponents <br />were given an opportunity to be heard. John Leszczynski, Director of Public Works, <br />made the presentation for the bill. He indicated this approprition would be used <br />for right -of -way acquisition for Logan Road. Council Member Zakrzewski made a <br />motion to pass this bill, seconded by Council Member Barcome the bill was passed by <br />a roll call vote of nine ayes. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7608 -86 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $15,000.00 FROM THE MORRIS <br />CIVIC AUDITORIUM FUND FOR CLEANING AND TUCK - POINTING OF <br />MASONRY AND TERRA -COTTA OF THE FACADE AND FOR PAINTING <br />AND REGLAZING OF WINDOWS AND DOORS AT MORRIS CIVIC <br />AUDITORIUM. <br />This bill had first reading. The bill was passed by <br />a roll call vote of nine ayes. <br />BILL NO. 15 -86 A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1134 <br />LINCOLNWAY EAST IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Serge made a motion to refer this bill <br />to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Puzzello. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 16 -86 A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2211 <br />EAST JEFFERSON BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to refer this <br />bill to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 17 -86 A BILL AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE BY <br />ADDING AN ADDITIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TARGET AREA TO ARTICLE <br />13 TO -WIT: 2211 EAST JEFFERSON BLVD., SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing March 10, and refer it to the Human Resources <br />Committee, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 18 -86 A BILL TO VACATE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY: A PORTION OF <br />PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE COMMENCING AT A POINT WHERE ITS NORTH LINE IS <br />INTERSECTED BY THE WEST LINE OF MIAMI STREET FOR A DISTANCE OF <br />696 FEET TO A POINT WHERE SAID NORTH LINE TURNS TO THE RIGHT. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Voorde made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing March 10, and refer it to the Zoning and <br />Vacation Committee, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 19 -86 A BILL TO VACATE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY: THE EAST -WEST <br />PUBLIC ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN LOTS 132, 133, 134, 135, 136 AND <br />137, WENGER AND KREIGHBAUM'S SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA AND A PORTION OF THE NORTH -SOUTH PUBLIC ALLEY <br />LOCATED IMMEDIATELY WEST OF MIAMI STREET A DISTANCE OF 90 FEET TO <br />SOUTH LINE OF LOT 36. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Voorde made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing March 10, and refer it to the Zoning and <br />Vacation Committee, seconded by Council Member Puzzello. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 20 -86 A BILL APPROPRIATING $130,000 FROM THE COVELESKI REGIONAL STADIUM <br />FUND TO ACCOUNT 399.0 CONTRACTUAL SERVICES IN SAID FUND TO BE <br />ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Serge made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing March 10, seconded by Council Member <br />Puzzello. The motion carried. <br />BILL.NO. 21 -86 A BILL APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $115,000.00 FROM THE <br />GENERAL PARK FUND TO THE PARK MAINTENANCE FUND. <br />
