Public Hearing on Additional Appropriations (New Day Intake Center <br />Forgivable Loan) <br /> <br />Caleb Bauer, Executive Director of Community Investment, presented <br />items 5A1 & 5A2 together. This presentation revisits the proposal <br />previously shared with the Commission, marking the final step in a <br />multi-year effort to establish a low-barrier emergency shelter in South <br />Bend. <br /> <br />Project Overview <br />• Location: 4022 Old Cleveland Road, part of a parcel acquired by <br />the Redevelopment Commission. <br />• Scope: The northern half of the parcel (approx. 7 acres) will be sold <br />to New Day Intake Center for $1,000. <br />• Facility: A 110-bed minimum (currently scoped at 120 beds) low-
