This is a divisible bid with two divisions. The scope of work for Division A is roof replacement at the Monarch Building (516 S. Main St.) and Division B is roof replacement at the Hope Building (530 S. Michigan St.). Alternate #1 for Division A includes full replacement of existing roof decking. One bid was received: Contractor: Base Bid Div. A Base Bid Div. B Alt. 1 Div. A TOTAL Reliable Roofing and $77,610 $302,415 $47,900 $427,925 Construction Upon review of the Reliable Roofing bid, several deficiencies were noted: • The bid included the Bid/Proposal form but not the Contractor's Bid for Public Work • The bid did not include any supporting documentation for the Responsible Bidder pre - qualification • The bid did not meet either the MBE or WBE goals, nor did they include any Good Faith Effort paperwork • The bid did not include the required non -collusion affidavit I recommend rejecting the bid as non -responsive. The project will be re-scoped to include only roof replacement at the Hope Building and will be re -quoted with the intent of executing a contract less than $300,000.
