How is it built? <br />33 <br />Wood stud wall <br />Stud <br />Top plate <br />Sole plate <br />Wood lath <br />Plaster <br />This wall system uses a light wood frame made of vertical studs <br />spaced evenly apart to form the structure. Over the frame, narrow <br />wood lath are nailed horizontally, leaving small gaps between each <br />one. Wet plaster is applied directly onto the lath. As the plaster fills <br />the gaps, it forms small “keys” behind the wood strips, helping the <br />plaster stay securely in place once it dries.
