Littrell, P.E. <br />City Engineer (/ <br />SUBJECT: Dedication of Right of Way for Dylan Drive <br />Project No. 106-035 <br />DATE. November 3, 2006 <br />The South Bend Redevelopment Commission has acquired land in Portage Prairie <br />for dedication as Dylan Drive from its current terminus in U.S. 31 Industrial Park northward <br />to Adams Road. The Commission offers the attached Deed of Dedication for that right of <br />way for Acceptance by the South Bend Board of Public Works. <br />The right of way offered is seventy feet wide. That meets the requirements of the <br />Portage Prairie developer and the Department of Public Works. An Agreement is in place <br />between the City and the developer for the first phase of development in Portage Prairie <br />which includes construction of Dylan Drive and a large industrial building that is dependent <br />upon Dylan Drive for access. Both parties have brought resources to the task of <br />completing the agreement in a timely manner, as agreed. <br />I recommend acceptance of the Deed of Dedication of Dylan Drive, its subsequent <br />recording, and notification to the Area Plan Commission that the dedication has been <br />accomplished. <br />Please call 5937 if there are questions. <br />c: Shawn Peterson <br />Nicholas Witwer <br />What we do today makes a difference! <br />
