I&T Highlights — A Smart, Accessible City <br /> D RO <br /> We are embracing sensors and public technology for better results. <br /> • Automated Vehicle Locator Upgrade (AVL) upgrade (Samsara) with Public Works and Central Services <br /> • Sense South Bend air quality project <br /> • Broadband speed tests with Notre Dame <br /> • South Bend Open WiFi Expansion - 22 Access Points across 19 locations <br /> We are investing in technology for all. <br /> • Affordable Connectivity Program Grant work took St Joseph County from 29% program uptake to <br /> 45% program uptake. 11K+ residents were engaged throughout this project across 48 events. <br /> • PLTE partnership with SBCSC serves roughly 600 students <br /> • South Bend Connectivity Coalition <br /> • Submitted and won a Digital Equity Competitive Grant - recommended for $12M in possible federal <br /> funds <br /> City of South Bend <br /> Innovation & Technology <br />
