The com- <br />mon themes that occurred in the responses are: <br />• Sense of community, keep front porch feel, family <br />friendly <br />• Diversity of people & housing <br />• Walkability <br />• Historic feel homes & brick streets <br />• Vibrant neighborhood <br />• Property maintenance of homes and vacant lots <br />• Reuse of vacant lots for housing, mixed use devel- <br />opment, and gardens (including growing food) <br />• Support homeownership & quality rental, new <br />infill development <br />• Safety, lighting <br />• More parks and improvements at existing parks – <br />increase utilization <br />• Improved sidewalks & trail connections (especially <br />along the river) and improved alley conditions <br />• Neighborhood stores (including grocery options <br />/ access to healthy food), restaurants, and recre- <br />ation activities <br />Participant responses for the neighborhood vision exercise
